The Hotel Services Domestic Assistant is responsible to the Hotel Services
Supervisor to undertake a range of housekeeping duties, which includes
primarily the cleaning of elements within the wards and departments on sites as directed. To maintain a high standard of food hygiene in support of
providing patient meals, snacks and beverages as directed.

To carry out other relevant duties associated with the domestic service and periodically those as directed to support the wider Hotel Services Team e.g.

catering or porter tasks.

The Powys Teaching Health Board Facilities department are looking to recruit to 24 hour Domestic Assistant at Newtown Hospital.

You will support the local delivery of hotel services cleaning and associated facilities activities, ensuring that they are delivered at the levels agreed and that they meet with full compliance with all appropriate legislation and local policies and procedures.


You will need to be self-motivated, have a flexible approach to work, able to work as part of a team and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

Previous experience is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
