My client is actively recruiting for two Mechanical Engineers.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will support the plant programs by providing technical support for new equipment designation, acquisition, and installation; focused factory equipment;facility engineering, and maintenance support; machine shop, manufacturing, environmental and safety technical support.

  • Ensures compliance with business operating system.
  • Developing & maintaining the Health & Safety standards on site.
  • Providing the business with an extensive engineering technical knowledge.
  • Ensures site infrastructure is maintained.
  • Complete a shift handover with oncoming colleagues.
  • Perform all necessary plans Start up Procedures and Shutdown Procedures.
  • Perform all necessary daily, monthly, annual, or biannual checks.
  • Document all checks for reference.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Engineering Supervisor.
  • Participate in Business Improvement events, the businesses continuous improvement tool.
  • Completion of the Preventative Maintenance plan.
  • Develops site services to improve machine downtime.
  • Operate Engineering Department machinery.
  • Liaise with BI Team ensuring Document changes to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Carry out 5s duties.
  • Developing site documentation for engineering operation.
  • Interacts with Site departments/business to achieve the above.
  • Ensures business key performance indicators are met.
  • Manages own time effectively to complete workload and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Interact with other departments to achieve business KPIs.
  • Creates, maintains, and promotes good working relationships.
  • Developing engineering team through recognised business needs training and interpersonal skills.
  • Achieve 100% completion of current Engineering telegram database.
  • Report any Health & Safety hazards to the Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications/ Experience/Skills:


  • Timeserved apprentice / HNC Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years working within a manufacturing environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound ability to interpret and analyse data in a result orientated environment.
  • Selfmotivated, flexible, and able to work on own initiative and under pressure.
