Compliance & Quality Manager
Leading UK based Packaging Manufacturer
Manchester / Leeds - the role will be cross site
Salary - circa £40k (negotiable)
My client are a UK based polythene packaging manufacturer, distributor and consultant established in 1988.
Role responsibilities
This role is responsible for management of the companies membership organisations and standards.
Quality
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Manage and maintain controls and documentation procedures
- Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports
- Measure performance and identify any areas of departmental weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
- Develop & deliver internal training material
Compliance
- Performing routine risk assessments to help organisations understand compliance risk, scope and significance
- Monitoring the organisation's compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws
- Educating employees on compliance regulations and the impact of noncompliance on the organisation
- Recording their findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified
- Reviewing marketing materials, websites, customer facing documentation and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations
- Reviewing and maintaining permits water sampler / air testing / noise
- Assisting in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organisations
- Working with the persons responsible for procurement to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
- Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities
- Interaction with customers and suppliers
- Liaising with environmental agency
- PRNS / Traceability document / source document / audit on mass balance
Health & Safety
- Develop and deliver management training on policies
- Execute Internal audits inline with external consultant framework
- Audit follow up actions and support required internal process changes
- Work outside the department to provide guidance and advise on health & safety to other members of staff

- Ideally located on M62 corridor to allow travel between Manchester and Leeds sites
