Our client is looking for a temporary Examinations Officer to work until the end of June.


Examination Officer Job Specification:
The Exams Officer is responsible for the management of exams throughout the exam cycle from beginning to end.

Specific duties fall into the following principle areas:

  • To be familiar with all regulations, in particular changes from previous years, laid out in JCQ rule books on conduct of exams, coursework and controlled assessment, access arrangements, malpractice and general regulations;
  • To liaise with awarding bodies on all aspects of examinations;
To be responsible of all entries, submission, access arrangement and post results services deadlines; to set and communicate suitable internal deadlines to meet these; and to make all necessary entries to the school calendar;

  • To hire and train sufficient Invigilators, Readers and Scribes in accordance with JCQ regulations;
  • To continuously review the SEN register at start of year to ensure that all students have the required uptodate approved Access Arrangements;
  • To be responsible for the receipt, storage, security, distribution, collection and storage of scripts;
  • To arrange the necessary rooming/accommodation with Site Team, ensuring pupils with special needs and access arrangements are accommodated;
  • To arrange and train invigilators, readers and scribe;
  • To create and publish detailed exams schedules, showing the rooms, staff and timings of all exams, to all staff and students;
  • To prepare all desk cards, seating plans, invigilation folders and posters required;
  • Attend Examination Officer Local Area Network meetings.
  • To be present on the day prior to examination results day, examination results day and the day after examination results days;
  • To download results and prepare statement of results and letters for pupils;
  • To help with appeals or extended reviews where necessary;
Previous experience in a similar role essential.


Salary:
£24054 Grade 6 or £29439 Grade 8 (Qualified) pro rata


Salary:
£24,054.00-£29,439.00 per year
