• Wrote an NLP algorithm to maximise profits of a chemical manufacturing plant. Presented findings to module leader through PPT presentations. Achieved 1st Class Grade.
• Created highly detailed HAZOP report (130+ pages) for a MEG recovery rig plant. Led a team of 5 to conduct analysis, undergo substantial research, adhere to strict time-management, and generate reports for individual plant components. Achieved 1st Class Grade.
• Applied MATLAB to reproduce mathematical models in the ‘Boundary Layer Paper’ to better understand how mass transfer can be utilised to control reaction rates in chemical reactors.
• Designed a stable control system for a FCCU on SIMULINK using 3 separate tuning methodologies to control cyclone temperature by manipulating regenerator air-rate.
• Generated alternative batch schedules to streamline a multiproduct process, reducing batch production time by >50%.
