Experience

- Leading frontend development of both internal and customer-facing tools and sites. This includes building a centralised login and account management portal built with ASP.NET Core. A suite of back-office user and subscription management tools, which were built with Node/express/handlebars.
- Designed and developed reusable React components to enable us to follow the principles of Progressive Enhancement
- Created micro frontend POCs as part of investigations into allowing more flexible deployment
- Integrated third-party APIs and libraries seamlessly, expanding the application's functionality and improving the user experience.
- Utilised Redux to allow state to be management and shared between components
- Leading the development of a suite of management tools built using Angular 15.
- Utilised NgRx for state management, optimizing data flow and application performance
- Implemented performance optimizations to ensure fast page load times and a smooth user experience.
- Spearheaded code reviews, coding standards, and best practices, resulting in higher code quality and a reduction in bugs.
- Implemented responsive design principles for mobile-friendly applications, broadening the application's reach.
- Introduced continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating deployment processes and increasing efficiency.
-Conducted thorough unit and integration testing, ensuring the reliability and stability of the application.
- Working with UI/UX to develop a Design System to enable the reuse of common components, to help provide a common look and feel across different platforms and sites and to aid the development of accessible components. 
- Leading the drive for accessible solutions in the department. This includes working with the UI/UX teams, writing automated tests using Puppeteer and Pa11y, performing manual reviews with the Axe tools and mentioning less experienced team members. This resulted in products being reached WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
