About Aaron Motta:
Experience
I started as a Teacher in the International British school of Beijing teaching
children from the ages of 4-16 years old. I also undertook the responsibility of the
adult teaching programs that we readily available and provided for learners of all
age groups. I was then promoted to a Team Managers position which resulted in
me becoming the Head of English Department. I was using my skills and
experience to nurture my students thinking and learnig ability in the classroom
and online when neeed. My role also included managing the local and foreign
teachers to do the work in an effective and efficient manner. I have attached at
the end of my resume the various projects that I have undertaken since becoming
the Head of English Department in this international school.
English Head of Department
1-To participate as a member of the Senior Management Team of the School
& Colleges in the planning and implementation of policies, practice and working procedures.
2 Ensure that policies, practice and procedure are informed by consultation
and participation and that information is effectively and efficiently disseminated to all the Education team.
3- Fulfilling the duties of the Head of Education which will include:
a) Identifying and determining, in consultation with the Head and Senior Management Team, the overall strategic direction of the curriculum.
b) Further developing, implementing and reviewing the schools ongoing systems for selfevaluation and the continual improvement of standards.
c) The management, maintenance and ongoing development of educational resources.
d) With specific reference to educational practices – advise, recommend, evaluate and determine procedures for policy making.
e) Define specific job tasks for all education staff and inform the Senior Management
Team accordingly.
4 To take lead responsibility for the advertising, short-listing, interviewing and
appointment of Education staff and to ensure by direct managerial oversight that
induction is undertaken, thereby meeting school policies and procedures.
5 - To undertake the performance management and supervision of the Education team ensuring that specific attention is paid to their training and developmental needs. All of this work to be carried out regularly and methodically via planned and recorded supervision and performance management sessions in line with the school polices.
6- Ensure, via managerial oversight, that all Education staff are informed of
the commitment to train and develop people and that their understanding of this commitment is checked and recorded.
7- Liaise effectively and efficiently with all relevant members of the Senior Management Team.
8-To maintain direct managerial oversight, responsibility and ultimately accountability for all recording and communication systems within the Education areas.
