Abigail Salvesen

I'm a passionate creative with a diverse background in design across multiple disciplines. After nearly ten years experience working as a graphic designer I'm seeking an exciting career change into the field of UX/UI Design. I have a fascination with technology and the way that people understand and interact with it. This enthusiasm led me to pursue a master's degree in digital design, and to further develop my knowledge I then completed a professional diploma in UX design.

I have also built a successful freelance career as an illustrator. I love to learn and constantly push myself to broaden my range of skills; many of the disciplines I've learnt, like digital illustration, are entirely self-taught and I'm proud to have achieved tangible success with them.

I now have a diverse skillset that includes illustration, photo and video editing, typography, UI design, UX research, wireframing, prototyping, 3D modelling and VR development.

Professionally, I'm currently working as a graphic designer and have nearly a decade of industry experience. I work part-time in graphic design for publishing and part-time self-employed as an illustrator after launching a successful freelance career.

I hold a professional diploma in UX design from the UX Design Institute and a master's degree from the University of Edinburgh in digital design.
