ABIR HASAN

I am Abir Hasan, a highly motivated and detail-oriented software engineering graduate with a first-class BSc (Hons) from De Montfort University in Leicester. My educational background is complemented by a diploma in Software Engineering from Asia Pacific University in Malaysia, where I graduated with an upper second-class result.

Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong foundation in various programming languages, including JavaScript (React, REST/JSON), PHP, Python, C++, HTML, and CSS (Bootstrap). I am proficient in using version control systems such as Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket, skills I honed during my internship at Pickles Auction and part-time work at Asia Pacific University. My technical expertise also extends to data structures and algorithms, software design principles, testing, and debugging.

In addition to my technical skills, I bring a wealth of soft skills to the table, including excellent communication, problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, and leadership abilities. I am fluent in English, Bangla, Hindi, and Urdu, allowing me to effectively communicate in diverse environments.

My professional experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at De Montfort University, where I supported senior researchers and conducted primary data collection, and as a React Developer at Pickles Auctions in Australia, where I implemented new features and fixed bugs. I also served as a Frontend Web Developer at Asia Pacific University, contributing to the development and improvement of the university’s web applications.

I have a proven track record of effectively managing responsibilities and delivering high-quality work. My roles have ranged from library assistant to Maybank Student Ambassador, demonstrating my versatility and ability to thrive in different settings.

I am passionate about technology and continuously seek to expand my knowledge through online courses and personal projects. I am excited about the opportunity to leverage my skills and experience to contribute to innovative and impactful projects. 

I have gained diverse professional experience in various roles that have developed my technical and interpersonal skills. At De Montfort University, I worked as a Research Assistant, supporting senior researchers and conducting primary data collection. As a React Developer at Pickles Auctions in Australia, I implemented new features, fixed bugs, and contributed to code reviews. My role as a Frontend Web Developer at Asia Pacific University involved translating UI/UX designs into functional web interfaces and developing well-documented code.

Additionally, I served as a Maybank Student Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur, where I planned and executed events, demonstrating strong organizational and teamwork skills. My experience also includes working as a Library Assistant at Asia Pacific University, where I assisted patrons and maintained library records. These roles have equipped me with a robust skill set, including problem-solving, communication, and technical proficiency, making me well-prepared for various professional challenges.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester, where I graduated with First-Class honors. This program equipped me with a strong foundation in programming languages, data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and testing and debugging. My education at DMU was complemented by hands-on experience through various projects and internships.

Prior to my degree, I completed a Diploma in Software Engineering from Asia Pacific University (APU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, graduating with an Upper Second-Class result. This diploma provided me with essential skills in software development, including proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, Python, C++, HTML, and CSS. My time at APU also included practical experiences that further honed my technical abilities and prepared me for advanced studies and professional roles in the field of software engineering.
