About Alan Christie:

I have been involved in and around Hospital IT and medical devices throughout my career. Working for the NHS on two occasions, one early on as Bio engineer and more recently as an IT Senior Project manager with a large London Trust.

During the period between these two appointments, I was employed as PACS and RIS support in the UK as well as an International PACS / RIS Implementation manager based in the Middle East. In addition to working in Healthcare I spent a couple of years in Facility management as member the team responsible for the day to day running of the Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.

Programme Manager September 2022 - Current

  • Programme Leadership: Working with the Regional Director on suitable strategies and objectives, ensuring an appropriate programme or project management framework is in place.
  • Financial Management: Ensure allocated Programmes are completed within the approved budget and timescales. Agree budget and agree resource management planning. Ensure that revenue and costs are managed and delivered to agreed plans.
  • Quality Assurance: ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme,
  • Relationship management: network effectively, negotiate well and influence people, broker relationships with stakeholders within and outside the program and be aware of the broader perspective and how it affects allocated Programmes.
  • Plan and manage with cross functional senior workstream leaders, new opportunities with luminary customers which does not align with current program.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Sales, Product, Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and other key teams to document the opportunities, their impact, as well as any follow-on opportunity that could be created in the market.
  • Present information to key stakeholders to gain consensus, and upon approval, modify current plans and communicate plan changes via both executive summary and detailed report, and manage to the augmented plan.
  • Engage directly with executives and key stakeholders in which a continual amount of financial, business, technical and client information will be shared in various forums and media.
  • Define new comprehensive processes, projects and programs across internal and external stakeholders, gain stakeholder consensus and track stakeholder progress and accountability.
  • Independently engage with internal key stakeholders, clients and partners on a regular basis, and independently problem solve issues as they arise whenever possible.

Senior FM Consultant / Head of Project Support, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. November 2017 to Feb 2019

Provide strategic leadership to the onsite team while overseeing the daily project responsibilities of Managing Agents. Developed a close relationship with General Directorate of Information Technology and Communications (GDITC) overseeing a Maximo 7.6.1 upgrade. Initiated knowledgeable communication and cooperation between Vice Rectorate of Operations and the GDITC with regards to FM server-based systems and workflows.

Ensure proper record maintenance through SharePoint based Document Management System.

  • Instrumental in supporting Vice Rectorate of Facilities and Operations with regards to IT-based systems.

HCIS Regional Implementation Manager, 2008 to 2017

Overall accountability for budget management, schedule planning and scope of work pertaining to the key company program /projects throughout the geographical region Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Indian subcontinent. Led the central coordination of Country Business Partner technical site support applying the Carestream direct support model. Governed a culturally diverse remote team towards timely task completion. Frequently interfaced with and managed stakeholder expectations. Collaborated with company-preferred suppliers.

  • Successfully deployed picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and radiology information system (RIS) for 20 Hospitals Programme in the Aseer Region Saudi Arabia within 24 months, a total value of 100M SAR
