About me:

I am currently employed by Emerson Automation Solutions in Dyce as a Customer Value Manager, developing key relationships with customers in the North Sea and Scotland. I have also been tasked as the training and resource manager and progressing this to develop our team to Tier 3 status. I am also the Emerson RAS (Remote Automation Solutions) Service Operations Manager for the UK and manage the service business with direct line management of the RAS engineers and some DeltaV engineers.

I was previously employed as a Contract Manager at Honeywell Process Solutions based in Dyce, Aberdeen managing large Oil and Gas service agreements to help maintain and grow Honeywell’s installed base. I then progressed to the Field Operations Leader (FOL) for Ireland and UK North which involved travel and matrix management of over 40 engineers. This role developed and changed, and I became the FOL for the UK North Sea and UK mainland north of Hull. This increased my matrix management to over 50 engineers. Whilst completing my duties as FOL, I became acting Field Service Manager (FSM) covering the UK North Sea business as the operations manager. This involved me being responsible for the P&L, direct line manager of 20 employees and building custodian, fully responsible for all persons in the Aberdeen office. Whilst employed at Honeywell I completed a Leadership Skill Workshop, Management and Leadership skills and Customer Relationship Training to continue to develop my business, management and leadership skills.

My civilian career has focused on collaborating with the Sales and Operations organisations to promote the best values for the company and customers to secure and grow the installed base.

I served over 12 years military service in the Royal Air Force (RAF) before joining Honeywell. I was employed as an electronics supervisor within a busy Air Traffic engineering environment at 3 locations worldwide and 3 locations worldwide as a Radar and Radio engineering Supervisor.

While serving in the RAF I completed Junior Management Training and was equally competent working within/leading a team or on an individual basis. I am a strong member of any team with a desire to achieve all designated goals.

During my career I completed various Quality Assurance and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) certified Health and Safety courses to continue in career development.
