I am a motivated and reliable person.
I am bilingual (English- Polish) and have been working as an interpreter for a number of years.
I am educated to a masters level (MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and possess experience working in a busy office environment (customer service at Special Metals Wigin) as well as in a recruitment agency.
I have excellent keyboard skills and telephone manner (I have been working as a telephone interpreter for a few years as well).

Experience
Working as an in-house interpreter/ translator:
Duties: providing interpreting services to Polish speaking patients of the hospital in various departments/ wards: scheduled appointments with consultants, pre-operation assessments, Day Case Surgeries preparation, assisting on Delivery and Maternity Suites; providing translation services: translating appointment letters, patient information booklets, leaflets and brochures, managing all external bookings with current service provider and monitoring timely assigning interpreting jobs, dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries, maintaining communication links with appropriate individuals, departments and external sources, providing support to Patients Experience Team.
Working as a freelance interpreter:
Duties: Acting as a court and police interpreter at Magistrates, County, Crown courts during
hearings, trials, meetings with counsels, solicitors; assisting police officers during interviews, booking offenders into custody, conversations with appropriate adults, custody nurses, mental health assessments, taking and translating witness statements; assisting probation officers during interviews, preparing pre-sentence reports, during home visits, interpreting at hospitals, doctor’s surgeries, schools. I cooperated with Herefordshire Council (Equality and Diversity Department). Translating follow-up reports, witness statements, notarial deeds and private correspondence.
Working as a teacher of English:
Duties: Fixed term contracts teaching English to international groups of students (teenagers and adults) at various levels of proficiency using a variety of coursebooks, authentic and adapted materials. Preparing examinations, marking and providing constructive feedback to students. Maintaining an accurate and up to date record of student attendance and performance. Producing individual student reports.
Working as a customer service representative:
Duties: IncoTest- liaising with the clients and updating them on the progress of their orders, processing the orders, entering the data to the base, preparing and directing the samples to analysis, checking test results, creating certificates, invoicing, general administrative duties.
Sales department-entering the data to the computer systems, gathering follow-up information regarding customers’ satisfaction with the received service, maintaining ongoing contact with international clients, finding and developing new contacts.
