Alexander Leptos

I have a variety of work experience and have been creative my entire life, always finding ways to practice and expand my knowledge and skills. I have achieved an Extended Diploma in Graphic Design as well as a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from Barnet and Southgate College. I have completed various commissioned work through my own independently created, owned and run company Outside the Spotlight, which primarily operates as an independent film review and promotion platform but also provides custom artworked posters as well. 

As part of this, I have run social media accounts, created original content and organically grown a following of over 1000 in less than a month and collaborated with both filmmakers and other members of the community in order to put out engaging material. I have had consistent highly positive feedback and repeat clientele, proving that I can deliver high quality work and maintain good working relationships. Before creating Outside the Spotlight, I wrote for various websites and online magazines about topics surrounding film, entertainment and other pop culture. I was a verified creator for the now defunct Movie Pilot. 

I have also taught in multiple schools over nearly a decade of working in education across two continents as both a teacher's assistant and an ESL teacher. I spent 5 years living and working in Thailand from 2017-2022. I taught in two schools over those 5 years- both primary and secondary levels and across all year groups. In addition to English, I have also taught art at primary level through my background in art and design as well as holding a TEFL GA Level 3. My experience in education has taught me about time management, efficiency, team collaboration and remaining calm in stressful situations. I often incorporated my own interests in arts, culture, history and mythology into my lessons. 

Additionally, I have experience in other customer facing roles, dealing with pricing and invoicing and other admin. These have come through my work in a small independent art gallery in Carshalton Beeches as well as various comic and gaming conventions across the country and abroad. I have some experience in event planning and communications through organisation of interviews, visits and exhibition set up as part of the gallery. 

I believe that we should strive to never stop learning in any way that we can both professionally and personally and with my outlined experience as well as my desire to grow, I do believe that with some guidance, I could be a valuable addition and asset to any team.
