Experience
Research Associate, University of Liverpool
- Developed modelling and simulation-based methods and data driven techniques to address corneal topography problems
- Created an image processing algorithm capable of encoding and decoding images to detect corneal features produced by corneal topography tools
- Implemented data acquisition techniques which improved the resolution of the data collected for analysis
Education
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Engineering, University of Liverpool
Thesis title: Finite Element Modelling of Retinal Detachment.
- Utilised statistical techniques to interpret data, analyse results, and produce comprehensive reports
- Developed a novel algorithm that is capable of creating the irregular geometry of the eye globe
- Developed a software using MATLAB that automatically creates patient-specific eye models based on clinical data
- Conducted experiments to determine the material properties of the human tissues
Key achievements: Awarded best research poster prize at the University of Liverpool annual PhD conference 2018.
