Experience
I am a GMC-registered medical doctor, with over 10 years’ clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, 15 years’ academic/clinical research (PhD) including 10 years of formal human anatomy teaching at the universities of Birmingham and Leeds, UK and Alexandria (Egypt).
I have extensive knowledge of human anatomy, and advanced skills in teaching anatomy in the form of classroom teaching, lectures, dissection, applied anatomy and computer-assisted teaching. I have over six years’ experience in carrying out wet dissection and teaching using plastinated specimens, human cadavers and radiographic images including X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound. I also have experience in teaching clinical skills to medical students and the clinical applications of anatomy in the form of Problem Based Learning and Case Based Learning. I am familiar with the Human Tissue Act and the process and requirements of using human cadavers. I am confident, influential, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work well under pressure and enjoy working as part of a team and creating cultures of continuous improvement.
