Ali Mallett

WORKING HISTORY
In 1988 I started my working career in accounts, payroll, administration and
marketing, moved to a PA position then in to recruitment sector, before
moving into the health and fitness industry.
Over my current 24 year career in the fitness and health industry and 18 years
as a holistic and beauty therapist, I added new skills in 2020 with Life
Coaching and Counselling (CBT, NLP, EFT, mindful mental health and positive
psychology etc).
I ran my own fitness and wellness business in the UK, where I organised
group classes, personal training, social events and gatherings, individual
client therapy, small group and hosting holistic day for birthdays and
occasions. Before relocating to Costa Almeria in 2017 to host and run my
Wellness Escapes in Spain where I organised retreat accommodation, airport
information, transfers, class/therapy schedules, meal planning, group
excursions, wellness days and workshops.
On returning to the UK in 2022, I was looking for my next career path to
follow. I applied to Wellness Academy London, completed my training in
Fitness at Sea. I joined Seabourn Sojourn 7th March in Sydney, partly through
the world cruise itinerary, this involved planning and scheduling guest classes,
personal training in the gym, pilates, yoga and rehab. Providing support and
instruction in the onboard gym and studio equipment, also hyper volt
massage therapy, guest seminars, workshops, relief massage therapies and
dining/hosting with the guests in the evenings. When time off allowed I
accompanied guests on shore excursions, which covered guest safety, group
guide and assisting less able guests.
I enjoyed the sea life, the guests, travel and crew family. I am now ready to
continue my career at sea, I have completed a Human Resource course to
add to my current resume and look forward to future opportunities on the sea.
