I have developed strong communication and organizational skills through my experience teaching ESL and creating lesson rooms that fostered an effective learning environment. I am particularly attuned to the needs of students, demonstrating a patient, approachable, and empathetic manner as a teacher of all ages, both online and in classroom settings. As a Student Assistant at the UEA (University of East Anglia), I always ensured my guidance style aligned with the student’s preferences, enabling them to engage effectively with the material. I also provided support in essay research and writing to students outside of lectures, where my dedication and attention to detail was frequently mentioned. I was able to build a rapport with students quickly, and this skill has only grown through working in multinational academic settings. Working in student support was highly rewarding, and my student base grew rapidly based on positive reviews of my work.

Furthermore, as an ESL teacher in South Korea, I regularly worked alongside a co-teacher. This experience honed my ability to build positive working relationships to optimize outcomes and ensure a seamless approach to delivering classes.

I have 12+ years of experience teaching ESL online and in classrooms. I worked at multiple schools in South Korea and Vietnam and multiple online teaching platforms. I am currently working for Ringle, teaching Korean adults English.
I also have 10+ years of editing and proofreading experience, working in curriculum editing for YBM Korea, KPMG, and Uptake Strategies among others.

I have a 120+ hours TEFL certificate (Norwood English - gained February 2012)
