Experience
I am a researcher and data analyst with a PhD in Psychology from the University of Lincoln. My background spans research design, statistical consultancy, and teaching across multiple disciplines. As a Maths and Stats Help (MASH) Adviser, I’ve provided expert support to staff and students, delivering workshops, creating online learning materials, and training colleagues in tools such as R, SPSS, STATA, MATLAB, Power BI, and Python. My PhD involved designing and managing a large-scale project on emotion recognition in autistic and non-autistic populations, where I secured independent funding, developed original experimental stimuli, and analysed data from over 2,000 participants. Alongside this, I’ve taught research methods and statistics as an Associate Lecturer and delivered targeted worksops as a MASH adviser My work combines technical expertise with clear communication and collaboration, and I take pride in using data to inform meaningful, real-world decisions and improve outcomes across research, education, and applied settings.
Education
I hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Lincoln, where my research examined emotion recognition from facial and bodily expressions in autistic and non-autistic populations. My project involved developing new experimental stimuli, running large-scale behavioural studies, and conducting advanced statistical analysis using R, SPSS, and MATLAB. Before that, I completed an MSc in Psychological Research Methods, where I created and validated a new emotion recognition test using dynamic body expression stimuli. I also hold a BSc in Psychology from Babeș-Bolyai University, where I studied humour, stress, and emotion regulation. My education has given me a strong grounding in research design, data analysis, and behavioural science, combining technical rigour with applied insight.
