About Andrew Wiltshire:
An accomplished professional with experience in management and leadership within the British Army, a specialist in
a range of Royal Artillery platforms and Artillery employment at sub-unit to combined arms environments. Andrew
demonstrates expertise in instruction and tuition, personnel report writing, and subordinate development and is adept
at driving team performance and achieving organizational goals through strategic planning and effective
communication. A Focused Support Team Leader with good problem-solving ability, Andrew is fully capable of
supporting and sustaining team cohesion while remaining focused on objectives. Having earned his Long Service and

British Army 09/2008- Current
Having completed two tours of Afghanistan and one tour of Estonia; Andrew is an experienced Artillery soldier; most
recently operating as a Battery Commander’s assistant. He is relied on as a subject matter expert on the technical and
tactical employment of battlefield assets specialising in Fire Support Teams and Forward Support for which he has 17
years’ experience and has achieved Level 5 Battery Commanders Assistant qualification, the highest level available
within his trade. On deployment, Andrew coordinates precise timing of Artillery assets that are crucial to mission
success in the land environment, this is achieved by managing & coordinating several teams and assets to achieve the
desired outcome whilst exploiting several types of technical equipment.
Andrew is the lead trainer within his Battery, having instructed Weapon handling drills, Battlefield Casualty Drills,
Counter-Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear drills and Navigation training. This knowledge allows him to
promote out of the box thinking in his subordinates allowing them to deliver the skills and procedures required to a
high level, contributing to the organisations objectives.
Andrew manages a Troop of thirty soldiers; he is accustomed to conducting mid-year and annual reports to ensure
personal and professional development to produce an efficient and effective team. Each subordinate is advised on
areas they excel but also key areas of improvement and advised on what steps are required for the individual to
progress in their career.
Prior to re-trading to Fire Support Andrew had spent 5 years as an Exactor2 subject matter expert; in line with
regimental re-trading to precision fires and qualified as a Level 4 Detachment Commander within just 2 years.
Andrew carried out various deployments with the platform including working with RAFAEL and THALES; the role
allowed him to gain valuable insight into the organisations procurement procedures and future operational outputs.
Charity has been something Andrew has taken a recent interest in raising money for; specifically Combat Stress where
he completed an 8-mile TAB (weighted walk/run), carrying 20kg every day for 30 days and raised over £1000
supported by others within his Regiment
Education
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
