Ankita Badoni

I was working as a trainee reporter for NewsQuest Media, remotely. Prior to that, I also got accepted in Reach PLC’s Talent Pool and worked with Surrey Live, Reach PLC as a Reporter for a casual shift covering all sorts of news. Previously I worked with Refugee Journalism Project as a Journalist covering news about refugee and was also working with Desiblitz.com as Features Writer. The job with Desiblitz.com also opened up my horizons on inclusivity which I want to take forward as a Journalist.

In my four years of Writing and Media industry I have worked with many organizations and my work has been published on many websites. I was more into writing for fashion and beauty platforms where I was also responsible for Social Media roles.

My journey in the Journalism industry started when I interned as a Writer and Copy editor for a heritage-based magazine in India where one of my articles was published as well.  I also worked as a contributor for a trend forecasting company called F-Trend where two of my articles were published.

All in all, this project not only elevated my journalistic skills but also allowed me to connect with a diverse group of people who created a diverse form of Art. I find your company to be of the same style. If given this opportunity, I would love to experiment confidently and would produce all sorts of work in alignment with the growth of the company which would ideally help me grow in my career path as well.

DEC 2022- JUNE 2023 Reporter/NewsQuest Media,(Somerset County Gazette),(Bridgwater Mercury) (Burnham & Highbridge Weekly News) Worked for NewQuest regional titles and covered the above mentioned, wrote stories related to Somerset. 

MAY 2022- AUG 2022 Reporter(Surrey Live) ,(Cheshire Live),(Daily Express) / Reach PLC Worked for Surrey Live, Cheshire Live and Daily Express in casual roles with writing news related to city and the area. 

JAN 2022- MARCH 2022 Journalist/ Refugee Journalism Project Edited news videos to prepare them for broadcast in various formats. Consulted with interviewees to clarify and complete news video and photo assignments.

JAN 2022- MARCH 2022 Writer/Artefact Magazine Constantly communicated with editor, and marketing manager and produced featured stories. Created relevant and engaging content based on new and best destinations as assigned and pitched. Managed an Editorial Calendar Storyboarding.

JAN 2022- JUNE 2022 Features Writer/Desiblitz.com Magazine I write inclusive and culture based stories on South Asian culture. 

JAN 2022- MARCH 2022 Script Writer/Journo Resources Deliver on quarterly targets for video script writing in coordination with the Central video engagement team. Edited and own the script writing for the video content in English
