Anupriya Rajendran

I'm a resident doctor with a strong passionate for effective communication between healthcare staff and patients. Throughout my training, I have gained an insight into the value of compassionate care in preventing and managing acute and chronic conditions. This has sparked my interest in medical writing, public health and MedTech- especially how digital health tools can improve healthcare equity amongst various populations. 

I am currently exploring opportunities in :
- Remote or freelance medical writing
- Public health research and communication
- Medtech roles that connect clinical insight with innovation

As a resident doctor with a strong background in medical knowledge and patient care, I bring effective communication and analytical skills to the forefront. My adaptability to a range of scenarios has enabled me to cultivate a dynamic approach to problem solving under pressure. I can confidently interpret vast amounts of data, formulate conclusions and communicate my findings within a team. I am a strong team leader who takes the initiative to make decisions whilst adhering to protocols. I readily adapt my communication skills to patient’s needs, maintaining compassion, empathy and integrity throughout all interactions.

Experience in:

• Assessing and delivering care to patients across a range of different specialties such as general surgery, respiratory medicine, endocrinology, psychiatry and general practice 
• Working effectively within multidisciplinary teams, leading teams and facilitating interdisciplinary care discussions were necessary 
• Adapting to high-pressure situations, maintaining composure whilst responding to clinical emergencies.
• Fostering a supportive learning environment by educating medical students and junior colleagues where opportunities arise. 
• Great attention to detail and ability to decode a variety of data
• Accurately documenting all assessments, investigations and treatment plans in patient records to facilitate good patient care. 
• Communicating with different teams through effective verbal and written communication e.g. discharge summaries and referral letters.
• Confidently interpreting a breadth of clinical data such as scans and blood test results, working with patients to determine individualized treatment plans according to their diagnoses. 
• Recognizing the impact of individual lifestyle factors on patients’ health, addressing risk factors and promoting holistic treatment plans taking into consideration the interaction between mental, physical, social and psychological care needs.

• Adapting my communication skills to compassionately and empathetically interact with patients of different demographics: including children, patients with cognitive impairment, patients with additional support needs and in those who are in acute psychological distress.
