A vast knowledge and expertise in the education sector is the focal point of my career. In UK I developed more needed skills when I restarted my education in 1999 after doing by bachelor degree in Civil engineering and Post graduate diploma in business administration. I worked as a site engineer for six years as well.

I developed communication, presentation and problem solving skills during my research (PhD.) at Sheffield University. By summer of 2004, I had been awarded PhD.  From autumn 2004 to June 2007 on I had a chance to work as a supply teacher in both primary as well as secondary schools across South Yorkshire. This gave me huge experience in working with children of different abilities, ethnicities and economic backgrounds.  This period gave me an insight of various levels of mathematics and science taught on national curriculum and pupils approach to learning these subjects.  In the meanwhile I was trying to continue my research in the subject I had chosen but unfortunately due to lack of funding I could not continue in this field of study.  Still very keen on the research aspects and believe it to be one of my strong areas of expertise.

In summer of 2007 I got an opportunity to apply as Lecturer in Construction and Built Environment at Sheffield College which was known as Castle College at that time. I had an opportunity to teach students who had finished school and did not want to continue their education by taking A levels route and part time students who were employed and wanted to move further in their careers by gaining more qualifications like national diplomas, and higher national diplomas.  Since September 2016  to March 2017 planned, delivered and assessed different courses on HNC/HND levels at UTC Maidstone Kent in civil engineering. 

From April 2017 to Feb 2020 managed Mercy Universal an international charity to achieve the targets. This included raising the profile of the charity and focused on the delivery of the projects. Went back to teaching in late Feb 2020 and continued in delivery of national diploma in civil engineering modules in central London , virtually from March 15th 2020 to end of the term. Continued from Sept-20 to April 21 at the same facility.

 I have been teaching students on all levels from entry level numeracy to Higher national Diplomas (HND) in Construction and Civil engineering.   I also had an opportunity as a Course Leader for BTEC Level 2 course in Construction for the past seven years which no doubt have helped me in acquiring leadership skills.  The job role has not been only teaching but development of course material, verification of this material and assessments of students with an keen eye to seek their progress and deal with any issues hampering their progress. Working in the team we have achieved success as our numerous students by gaining further qualifications and access to the universities are going on very well in their careers and as a department have been ranked good by the verifiers and inspections. During last few years I had an opportunity to teach on various BTEC engineering courses. This included functional skills, BTEC level 2 and level 3in engineering. I had to develop and deliver modules for mathematics, mechanical principles and engineering processes and the pass rate for these courses has also been outstanding. 

Since April 2021 have been shouldering the responsibility of running the T-levels course in construction for the first time at a facility in Buckinghamshire. Completed year one with 100% passes. Currently my role is assessing and teaching at level 3 and 4 on civil engineering and built environment courses in Central London.

Managerial experience gained as I managed a charity on volunteer/part-time basis, areas investigated human resources, financial and running of the projects.

Have volunteered long time with the charities and believe in intra community dialogue to build bridges. 

Gained experience while working through Morgan Hunt to deliver online courses since March 2020. Knowhow of Moodle , Promonitor and Lanskool software for efficient delivery in teaching and delivery.

Since then had an opportunity to have a feel of the T-levels in construction which has been introduced in 2020 to eventually replace the BTEC provisions in construction. Had a very successful first year with 94% success rate.

Concluding I have been always a team man played league cricket for almost ten years and use my leisure time in doing charitable work. I have the skills and expertise to deliver and am willing to acquire more skills when given a chance to do so.
