About babafemi agboyinu:

My reason for applying for this job emanates from my interest and desire to work in an advanced medical institution that provides opportunities for me to gain a wide range of experience, expand my knowledge and clinical skills through training, and work alongside outstanding individuals to maximize my skills while I apply my knowledge in patient care. Having had over 5 years of clinical experience across various specialties like emergency and general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, and public health I appreciate the relevance of having the knowledge of my responsibilities and that of other colleagues, prompt intervention in Medical Practice, drawing from various knowledge and experiences to save and improve the quality of life, maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff to prevent complications and prolong life expectancy. In the course of my jobs, both past and present, I have done night shifts, during which period I have had to liaise with the staff of other disciplines in managing some issues and I did this easily because of the good relationship I have built with them, this makes the work easier and more interesting, I have also succeeded in having a cordial relationship with the administrative staff, knowing that working with them remains in the best interest of the patients, myself, and my organization. Based on my exposure in my current job, I have developed a deep sense of commitment to patient care which has helped me learn to individualize patient treatment, clerk patients, deliver prompt emergency care, explore their concerns and address them, evaluate and formulate a prioritized differential diagnosis, initiate appropriate management plan, and adjust them depending on the outcomes of treatment. I also consult with my seniors in areas of difficulty as I am well aware of my own limitations and this has helped me develop a deep sense of duty and responsibility which has motivated me to achieve an excellent standard of patient care that is consistent with patient management guidelines. My greatest strength as a doctor which I have developed through my years of practice are my listening abilities, attention to detail, good bedside manners, and ability to explore patients' feelings, ideas, fears, and expectations for which I have received several commendations from patients and colleagues alike. I am able to engage patients and their relatives in calm and detailed conversations, explaining their care in steps and in a language they understand in order for them to make informed choices concerning their care. I am able to prioritize tasks, work efficiently under pressure and meet up with deadlines which have helped me in my current and previous jobs and in the management of emergency cases. My current job has given me the opportunity to learn how to prioritize patient welfare, think on my feet, ensure proper communication and follow-up of patients, and work as a team across specialties. I also uphold the principle of patient confidentiality at all times. My interest and desire for self-development have seen me take courses and certifications as stated earlier in the course of application. I also take part in teaching and presentations during departmental seminars and grand rounds and desire to do other training including specialty training. With regard to my interpersonal skills, I have gathered experience from the time of my internship until now. I am able to relate smoothly with my colleagues and patients, and able to communicate appropriately with my seniors to aid prompt decision-making and optimal patient care. I believe I am proficient in both written and spoken English Language. My medical education was in English and I also took the Occupational English Test OET. Overall, I possess the requisite skills, knowledge, and experience to fulfill the responsibilities required in this role. I also possess the right mentality to work in the rich environment of the NHS and adapt quickly. I have a passion for patient care, self and service development, health advocacy, and teaching and this has underscored my commitment to working as a doctor. My overarching aim is to achieve skills, knowledge, and competencies at par and even beyond those required to be recognized as an excellent doctor by my patients, colleagues, and the NHS and to engage in new developments in Information Technology I believe that working with NHS will afford me this opportunity. My Strength and Activities include: -Good communication skills (written and spoken) acquired through various trainings, work experience, and seminar presentations. -Good practical skills (femoral cannulation, intravenous cannulation, ECG and interpretation, minor surgical skills) -Good diagnostic skills and excellent acute medical care abilities. -Good decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively even under pressure, prompt response to duty, and timely completion of tasks. -Over Five years of post-graduation experience in the management of a wide range of medical cases and medical emergencies. -Good understanding of quality improvement and patient safety. -Innovative/ creative thinking; good organizational and leadership qualities.
