Bart Bailey

I have over 15 years of experience in PMO and project management, primarily across the financial services and oil & gas sectors. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to lead complex programmes and manage large portfolios, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while focusing on regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance.

In my current role at Shieldpay, I’m responsible for overseeing cross-functional teams and driving large-scale transformation initiatives, including regulatory compliance projects like ISO27001 certification and system re-platforming efforts. I’ve worked closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, while aligning outcomes with business priorities.

Previously, at AT&T, I managed the Shell account, leading a global PMO team across 90 countries. This role involved implementing governance improvements, optimising processes, and ensuring projects were delivered on time and within budget while maintaining critical service levels.

I pride myself on my ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear communication and managing risks effectively. My experience also includes project financial management, business continuity planning, and continuous process improvement. I’m driven by a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering high-impact outcomes in complex, regulated environments.

I hold a BA (Hons) in American Studies from Swansea University, with part of my studies completed at The University of Massachusetts. In addition to my degree, I am certified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner and hold ITIL Service Management Foundation and Agile Service Management qualifications. These certifications have provided me with a strong foundation in project management methodologies, IT service management, and agile practices, which I have successfully applied throughout my career.
