Beth Mackle

I am freelance Illustrator and Filmmaker. I am a Graduate of Glasgow School of Art with a Bachelors in Communication Design specialising in Illustration.

My practice involves building work adjacent to moving image. 
My illustrations and mixed media work serves to aide my process of filmmaking. 
From experimental text work to set design to storyboarding, all this body of work serves to convey my vision for the narrative.

My work has been shown throughout the Glasgow Art Scene and also through various online exhibitions.

My portfolio is currently being shown on the Glasgow School of Art Digital Showcase.

My approach to filmmaking, is that i am involved with the conception, the shooting and post production.
I want to design my own opportunities for making films and tell stories that i regard as important even if others do not.

I have 4 + Years experience using the Adobe software and quick to adapt to different software. 
I specialise in Motion Graphics, Software Editing, Animation, Film Editing, and i am competent in various technical roles. 

I am highly experienced at Motion Graphic Design and Video Editing software.
I specialise in both mixed Media Based Drawing and Digital Drawing

I am currently based in The Space on London Road, Glasgow .

As a proficient team member i undertook the handling of bookings, engaging with phone queries, interacting with customers and coordinating the food and drink orders. I was entrusted to have an acute memorization of the multitude of cocktails and dish options. My assistance revitalized the workflow of Mikaku and i am thankful for this opportunity to provide excellent customer service once again.

My role in front of house included preparing orders, engaging with customers, facilitating the hospitality/mobility requirements of guests, arranging the sequence of dinner service, producing spreadsheets, organisation of stock and assisting the cooperation of uncooperative guests. I very much enjoyed working for Sodexo as it has given me such a strong set of skills for me to take along into the world of work.

I volunteered to work within House Of an Art Lover in Glasgow, Bella Houston. It involved me interacting with the visitors and answering any questions they had about the film screenings being exhibited as well as informing them about upcoming events. I also gave brief tours to curious visitors about the works and the history of House of An Art Lover
