Bethany Robinson

I studied an Art GCSE in secondary school, but failed it once it came to the 12 hour exam at the end of the two years. I continued on to College level, studying Popular Music Performance, as I wanted to have a career as a vocalist musician. Once that had finished, I took a gap year, and then went to University for my Music Degree. 

During my three months on that Music Course, I became depressed and lost my love for the subject/career. After taking leave, I contemplated on what I could do instead. I took up an open day back at the college I had been to, but I showed them some of my current photos in which I had took and they wanted to offer me a place on there level 3 photography course; I couldn't take it as I had already achieved a level 3 diploma in a different field. I contacted the university once my leave had expired, and I was told I could defer to a different course. I chose photography and currently have 1 year left at the University of Wolverhampton. 

I study at the University of Wolverhampton(UoW) School of Art. My course is made up of studio time, a product studio, dark rooms for both colour and black and white processing, and live assignments which ask me to go out and shoot what is required. I enjoy my time there, and getting to use the equipment is a remarkable opportunity.
