Caitlin McSavage

Hi, my name is Caitlin McSavage, I am a creative Specialist Hair and Media Makeup artist with five years of experience and have achieved my BA (Hons) in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup which I received Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1). I have experience within the hair and makeup industry through doing freelance work and time for print. I've worked with fashion designers, art directors, stylists, photographers and clients. I've through my studies I gained many skills within theatre, special effects, hair and makeup as well as team work, communication, time management and continuity skills. I'm a extremely creative person as I also enjoy creating looks on myself for example drag/fine line looks and doing my own photography with my camera.

Freelance makeup artist- through networking and promoting myself, I have gained clients to do free-lancing hair and makeup on. I used my communication, time management, independent skills to complete my client’s makeup request. I had my client fill out consultation form for any allergies, skin care routines or any preferences for any products. 

Time for Print/Collaborations- through my social media I have made many connections by networking to do collaborations with multiple people. I have worked with fashion designers, art directors, stylists, and photographers. TFP has helped me gain more experience and confidence within the field of hair and makeup as learning key skills for industry standards. This has helped myself build and create a better portfolio to showcase all my work.

Agency Nursery Assistant- by working as an agency nursery assistant I get sent to different locations most of the time which helps me learn to adapt to new environments, I work with a new team each time, so having my great communication, teamwork, and good time management skills I can make a good impression which often leads to the manager asking for me to return.

I achieved my BA(Hons) in Level 6 in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup at the University College Birmingham where I received Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1)
