Pavement/Asset Engineer

I am a Civil Engineer with a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning & Management, Msc (Eng) Transport Planning and Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Building Engineering. I am currently finalizing my research (integrating road safety with road investment planning and appraisal) at University of Birmingham (UK). Previously I was working with Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) as a Network Planning Engineer responsible for development of road investment plans, asset management strategies and policies. In addition, I was responsible for updating and maintaining the pavement management system (PMS) and bridge management system (BMS).

Before joining UNRA, I was working with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) as a Technical Specialist (Engineering officer) involved in supervision and monitoring the project works Under Kampala Institutional and Infrastructure development project (KIIDP 2) funded by World Bank. This involved dualling/upgrading of a number of roads and signalization (installing traffic lights) of a number of junctions. Previously worked as a Civil Engineer with Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) where I was involved in planning, monitoring of large infrastructure projects and in general contract management and administration. 

I have key skills and interest in Transport Planning and Policy, Asset Management, Project Planning & Management, Road safety, Monitoring and Evaluation of major infrastructure projects and an understanding of the planning process, development of policies, strategies and implementation plans in the transport sector that I bring on board.
