About Christina Walsh:

As a teaching professional with eight years of experience in a range of settings, from a special needs setting to a British International school, I have a range of transferrable skills. Please find attached my CV, which clearly highlights my professional experience.

The nature of my work in education has enabled my professional development and ability to teach at an outstanding standard. My interest and passion for Special needs has led me to beginning the NASENCO course. As part of this, I have continued from my Senior Leadership experience in communicating and supporting a range of students and staff in a range of areas. I have completed the NPQML and worked as a Specialist Leader of Education across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, alongside this, I have worked as a Math’s Mastery trainer, EYFS Lead, Nursery / Pre School owner, Core Curriculum Lead, Safeguarding Lead and Trainee Teacher Mentor.

In my current role as EYFS lead and SEND lead for BISR, Taif, I have taken to ensuring an immersive and inclusive education for Foundation students. I have implemented and embedded Planning in the moment within EYFS, to ensure students are engaged and challenged through their interest. I am also leading on the collaborative creation of EHCP’s, supporting teachers on implementing and tracking progress of these. I measure this in the progress all students make in their specific areas of need, and it is evident in the areas that they are overcoming and achieving.

In addition, I have successfully implemented and embedded a new curriculum for a Federation of two schools, from EYFS to KS4, using the Chris Quigley approach.

As shown by my experience in schools, I am enthusiastic about education and always strive to do the best for my students. I would like to continue with a role of additional responsibility across the school. Alongside this, I am continually wanting to progress professionally tosupport my students in all areas of their education.

Experience

I am a passionate and hardworking teaching professional, who uses their teaching experience to engage all the students I teach. I started my career with six years in a Special needs Federation, where I progressed to English Lead, EYFS Lead, Trainee teacher mentor, Safeguarding lead and then into part of the Senior Leadership team as a Specialist Leader of Education and Core Curriculum Lead.

In 2020, I moved to Saudi Arabia where I continued my professional career in opening a Nursery and Preschool for expat children, and then moving into the role of Early Years Class teacher and Special Needs Lead for the British International School of Riyadh.

As a teaching professional, I ensure I create an inclusive and outstanding learning environment for all students. I am extremely passionate about ensuring I meet the needs of all of the students, both academically and emotionally. The classroom is a place where all children should feel comfortable and confident in reaching their full potential, whilst also reflecting on the pupils’ religious and cultural background.

I am tenacious, resilient, and committed. I cancommunicate clearly with a range of people at all levels required. Through my professional leadership experience, I am confident in leading a range of areas within an educational setting.

I am currently doing the NASENCO. I have completed the NPQML and I am a qualified specialist leader of education.
