Engineering / Architecture
About Christopher Bourne:
From a young age I have had an active interest in engineering. Whether it was visiting the transport museum in Manchester, building model vehicles or helping my uncle repair his motor bike for races across the UK. My favourite subjects in school were physics, math’s and engineering. They allowed me to think, solve problems, re-evaluate and learn that failure is only a learning step. No two days are the same in engineering which ignites my passion for it.
Working on my own car is one of my favourite hobbies. It demonstrates my hands-on experience, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. By diagnosing and fixing issues, it shows my ability to analyse complex systems and find practical solutions. It also highlights my knowledge of mechanics and electrical systems.
I also love working out, working out demonstrates discipline, determination, and the ability to set and achieve goals. It shows that I can take care of my physical and mental well-being, which can translate into being more focused and productive in the workplace.
Experience
Property Maintenance
Dabbers Property Maintenance | 10/2021 - Current
I have undertaken numerous hours of hands-on work with Dabbers Property Maintenance as I thoroughly enjoy problem solving, logical thinking and a high standard of work as they are always the motivators for me.
- Tasks I endure are always extremely mathematical, as planning is the most important part. Majority of my tasks include measuring technical drawing to ensure the tasks are carried out correctly as I believe planning is extremely important.
- I am responsible for conducting regular inspections to identify any issues or repairs that need to be addressed. I perform various tasks such as replacing broken fence panels, fitting appliances, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the property. My goal is to ensure that the property is well-maintained, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for its occupants or tenants.
