  • Attended weekly production manager meeting to scope production workloads and direct resources to achieve weekly targets

  • Carry out regular inspections of equipment and compartments in line with EMC inspection test report

Tempest  Engineer

Achieved handover of all Tempest compartments on HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince  of wales. Achieved CE  marking in relation  to Tempest comparts on HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of wales 

  • Drive production with installation of Tempest related equipment and mitigation measures.
  • Carry out regular inspections of equipment and compartments in line with Tempest inspection test report
  • Conduct appropriate sea trail testing of radio transmitters using appropriate Spectrum analyser test equipment in line with Tempest test plan
  • Conduct RF and electrical conductivity testing on all appropriate Tempest related equipment.
  • Lead contractors on sea trials to achieve tempest certification
  • Produce a detailed report on all completed work in line with customer handover process and in line with CE marking process

Detail Design Engineer

To undertake a range of detail design activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements, 

  • Provide advice and support to operations and other functions also ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements.
  • work closely with the technical liaison and the stage 1 design team, assisting with production queries providing solutions to engineering queries
  • Review engineering change requests, implementing change and providing solutions when required
  • 3D modelling and 2D output drawings produced on a regular basis.
  • Assisted in training of new apprentices and trainees on a daily basis. 
  • Assisted the engineering Change Request impact assessment team                                             
  • Calculate the impact to stage 2 and stage 3 Engineering functions, using Norms for the engineering change request impact on individual disciplines. 
  • Scope work for design teams using norms to calculate appropriate resources required
