As the Retail Director at The Jolly Baker, I lead the company's retail structure. I have successfully delivered consecutive quarters of sales growth across all channels, while managing costs and identifying and analyzing sales trends to drive sales volume. I have also implemented new technologies such as the company training system and food safety management systems, making the company completely paperless. Additionally, I have introduced company bonus measures with measurable KPIs for colleagues.

Prior to joining The Jolly Baker, I was a General Store Manager at Morrisons, where I led a business with a retail turnover of £40M, an online operation of £4.1M, and a PFS site with £520K store sales and £17.5M in fuel sales. I was accountable for the store EBITDA, incorporating sales, waste, shrink, labour cost, store expenses, energy, and site costs. I also completed a £4.7M refit over 21 weeks and four fresh look refits in 2021. I am highly focused on talent progression from within, having signed off multiple managers across multiple sites. I have a strong background in operations management, human resources, and food service, and I am passionate about delivering excellence in retail leadership.

Experience

Strategic leadership of the company Retail structure including Retail Stores, Retail Vans and Wholesale operations with 120 colleagues. 
• Delivery of consecutive quarters of sales growth across all channels whilst managing costs across all channels such as Labour, Waste, Shrink and Property costs.
• Identification and analysis of sales trends enabling to company to drive sales volume currently at £3.2M for this financial year across all Retail Shops, Vans & Wholesale. 
• Additional investment in colleagues with the implementation of new technologies such as the company training system and company food safety management systems moving the company completely paperless. The introduction of these management programs has led to the delivery of three 5* hygiene ratings within a 12 week period across multiple sites. 
• Leading support in the local community with strategic partnerships such as Too Good to Go.
• Accountability for the company VISA sponsorship program and delivery of additional skill sets in our business. 
• Provision of continuous coaching and guidance with all HR matters across all channels of the business including policies, procedures and overall ER support.
• Provide senior leadership support for the acquisition of a new store in Virginia Water and the TUPE of all colleagues to the Jolly Baker Enterprises Limited.
