With a diploma with distinction in professional proofreading and editing from the College of Media and Publishing, I am seeking a suitable opportunity to work full-time in this field with a reputable company.
Although my main occupation in the past 14 years plus has been in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), particularly preparing students for academic English language exams, I have also gained freelance experience in proofreading within an academic context, having proofread a number of PhD theses along with other types of university students' work.
Prior to being a professional ESOL teacher, I worked in Valencia, Spain as editor of a successful bi-lingual magazine produced for the ex-pat community there. Additionally, I wrote content for and edited business websites for the overseas property market and public/tourist information area guide.

General English and EAP (English for Exam Purposes) for private individual clients, as well as temporary work in various organisations with both classes and individual learners.
ESOL EXPERIENCE IN CHINA - August 2011 – September 2013
Sept. 2012 – Sept. 2013 – Web International English and June 2012 – Sept 2012 – Meten English (both in Shenzhen, China). Adult English Language Skills Development Centres.
October 2011 – June 2013 – OMT English (Shenzhen, China) - Private Adult English Language Training Centre. Private, one-to-one classes. Business English coaching for corporate employees up to senior management level in business English, contract negotiation terms and management training with specialised core subject vocabulary.
Nov. 2011 – July 2013 – Clarity Academy Ltd. (Honk Kong based company in Shenzhen, China) Corporate English Language Training & Development – Teaching Hotel staff (all departments) - Intercontinental (OCT), Ritz Carlton and Venice (Crown Plaza).
