EPC DANGOTE FERTILIZER LTD (Ammonia and Urea project)/ Dangote Subsea Gas Pipeline Project carried out at IBEJU-LEKKI, FZE.

 

My deliverables so far include Dangote fertilizer plant:

 

  • Conduct inspection activities against drawings and specification to verify that the manufacturing process output is compliant.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection, measuring and test equipment in line with company procedures as and when required.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work confirming re-work as required within and outside of the business.
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting, and returning unacceptable materials via procurement.
  • Approves sub-contracted work on either site or externally as at when required by the business.
  • Support internal auditors during systems and process audits.
  • Coordinate the identification, segregation, control, and documentation of non-conforming product, including internal scrap, re-work, concessional items, and customer returns.

  • Installation and inspection of rotary equipment which include padding, elevation, position, orientation, levelness, pre-shaft alignment, run-out, void, surveillance inspection during erection and welding of piping, pipe strain, motor / turbine solo run, final shaft alignment, P&ID Verification, lube oil flushing inspection, mechanical running test, completion of inspection records etc.
  • Followed up with travel(work packs), equipment list, packing list, engineering drawings(AFC, Markup, general arrangements, isometric, schematics(P&IDs), design calculations, rigging studies, plant and labor requirements ensuring documents are well complied.

 

 

 2012 – 2016 QUALITY CONTROL WELDING INSPECTOR

 TOTAL EPCC OFON 2 PROJECTS (OFD3 &OFD5) / EGINA FPSO carried out at NIGERDOCK-FZE SNAKE ISLAND.

 

My deliverables include:

 

  • Monitoring of day-to-day welding activities ensuring correct procedures are being adhered to and appropriate standards are being met, and control of welding consumables ensuring full availability of all welding related equipment.
  • Ensuring all welding and inspection related equipment is suitably calibrated and reviewing QITP's and communicating to shop floor personnel.
  • Ensuring welders have relevant qualifications to meet the standards set by the Company and its Clients and dealing with shop floor welding queries and liaising with other departments to resolve any issues.
  • Recording and analysing errors for trends and assisting in suggesting/applying corrective actions, while ensuring all quality documentation is completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Ensuring required NDT targets are met and organising third party testing where required.
  • Monitored mechanical completion activities like installation of piping and equipment, integrity (hydrostatic/pneumatic) testing, develop punch-list, cold alignment checks, point to point continuity checks, removal of free water from systems, preservation and maintenance.
  • Supervised the following activities on site; air and steam blowing, flushing, chemical and mechanical cleaning and passivation as part of my piping/pre-commissioning task.

 TURNAROUND MAINTENANCE (TAM) of ELEME PETROCHECMICAL REFINERY carried out at PHC.

 

My job expectations and deliverables include:

 

  • Visual inspection of welded pipe spools before sand blasting, elbows, pipes, hot tap split tees, flanges reducers and metering skids and joint numbers marking in isometric drawings.
  • Monitored ISO checklist for field installation of piping.
  • Ultrasonic testing of pipe-to-pipe joints, plate to pipe joint and thickness gauge measurement on process platform to check extent of corrosion.
  • Routine repairs like cold cutting and hot bolting on high-pressure pipes and risk assessment.

 

 

2010 – 2011                     MECHANICAL INSPECTOR (NDT)

 MOBIL EPCC Satellite Field Development Project (SFDP-1) OYOT, ABANG and ITUT PLATFORMS carried out at NIGERDOCK / DORMANLONG YARD.

 

 My deliverables were as follows:

 

  • Executed various NDT inspection techniques such as UT (TKY), MPI, PT, and RFI on Satellite Field Development Project Phase-01 (OYOT A) including piles, jacket legs, and deck fabrication at Dormanlong Engineering Ltd. Lagos for EXXON MOBIL. 
  • Executed various NDT inspection techniques such as UT (TKY), MPI, PT, and RFI on USAN FLARE FPSO Project (P1 and S1, module P4, 15 sets of pressure vessels, the fabrication of the helideck and its support, the flare tower, the riser protector structures, the boat landings, the mooring protection structure) at Nigerdock Nig. Plc Snake Island Lagos for TOTAL.
  • Ensured proper documentation, which comprise of NDT records of PT, RT, RFI and UT for management consumption.
