Ciaran Gribbin

A hands-on Neuroscience with Psychology student at the University of Aberdeen with strong academic achievement and extensive lab experience. Leading many groups through lab work and research has reinforced leadership and communication skills, confidence in ability to adapt to any work, task or hours necessary. With many transferable skills and hobbies that make me capable of a variety of tasks or roles in the workplace.

Kitchen staff at the terrace hotel -This work has given me experience in a professional environment doing long hours of manual labor and carrying out essential work for the business to continue operating, I work as part of a team and must perform tasks quickly to allow other workers to work efficiently. I carried out essential tasks such as kitchen porter, and helping prep in the kitchen for service and working front of house when busy allowing business to continue smoothly I have learned money handling, customer service skills and the ability to work well In busy and hectic situations and am able to remain calm and keep service going

Working in a lab for the university of Aberdeen doing primary neuroscience research has taught me to take responsibility for my own work and independence, working long hours in the lab operating unique and expensive machinery has made me careful and has given me hazard perception and prevention skills to keep me and colleagues safe and well as the ability to quickly learn to operate different systems and software
