Coco Blossomn Dawson

 I’m a driven and passionate creative with 4 years of experience in the fashion industry and 5 years in hospitality. After living in Margate for 8 years, I’ve developed a connection to the town and community. Recently returned from a 5 month trip through costa rica and parts of south east Asia where I enjoyed surfing and experiencing life from a fresh perspective. I’m looking to bring my unique blend of skills and experiences to a new and exciting role where I can grow, contribute and continue to be apart of the Margate community.

Carl Freedman gallery, Margate — 2021 - Present                                                                           

I’ve been working at the carl freedman gallery on an as needed bases since 2021, I live close by and can be on call when needed I am flexible. I am now regularly working as FOH. I also work on events with the gallery such as the private viewings for the openings of their exhibitions, Frieze London and any other gallery related events I am needed on. I am a welcoming face at the gallery, answering questions and helping with any queries people may have while maintaining professionalism at all times. 

Sargasso — 2023 - Present

 I have worked at Sargasso restaurant since late 2023 and have recently started back there, where I work as a waitress. I am well equipped with the opening and closing routine and making sure the site is secure for whomever opens the next day making sure everything is in order and in the correct place, restocking the bar and making sure glasses and crockery is in the correct place and is visually appealing for customers and communicating with my colleagues to provide a seamless service. I am great at upselling and recommending certain items we need to put out, I am also a good example for new staff and can teach them basic skills so time isn’t taken out of my managers day. 

Content creator and behind the scenes for Mia Khalifa – 2022 - 2023

I worked as a content creator for Mia Khalifa working on capturing behind the scenes from shoots, photography for instagram and working with her for her fine jewellery brand ‘Sheytan’. My role was to to create content with her for her social media platforms and to take BTS pictures when on set of shoots for Sheytan. During my time in this position I learnt how to execute someone else’s vision while being behind the camera and how to incorporate what appealed to her audience.

Agency Eleven, London — 2022 - 2023

Along side studying I did an internship through my own initiative with Agency Eleven a London based PR agency. Over the year I was with them, I worked with inspiring brands such as Off-white, Raf Simons, Martine Rose and many more. My role while at the agency was to work on the showroom. This included organising appointments, tracking items that were loaned, making sure they are returned in good condition, managing pickups and deliveries and keeping track of the inventory digitally. I worked with them for several seasons of LFW, working on the door and helping to manage large scale events. Working at these events I also learned how to cultivate crucial relationships.

Stylist Assistant — 2020 - Present

Since 2020 I have worked on editorial and commercial shoots with Stylists such as Cynthia Lawrence-John, Emma Macfarlane and Sara Burn. On these shoots my roll includes keeping track of clothing and accessories, ensuring everything is in order and easily accessible, sourcing clothing and accessories, preparing for photoshoots and making sure everything is ready for the stylist and client, fitting assistance and on-set support.

HERE Designs, London — 2017

In 2017 I did an internship at HERE designs, a design agency based in London. They are known for working with companies such as Bacardi, Ottolenghi and Nigella Lawson. During my internship I was able to shadow people and learn about what happens behinds the scene, the creative process of designing a product and about the long process of communicating with a client to bring their vision to life.
