Colin Young

I have a background in property development, maintenance management and electrical engineering.  I am determined to make the properties and staff under my care the best they can possibly be and never settle for average. In my life outside of my career I have worked as a volunteer for Dorset Council and Dorset Police as an Appropriate Adult. I have extensive experience working with the homeless and I have served as an Elder at my Church as well as leading the worship team for the last 6 years.  

I hold a personal portfolio of multiple properties which I have built up and maintained, completing  two new builds in 2023.  I currently work as Maintenance Manager at Holiday Inn Express Poole where over the last few months I was proud to bring the Hotel up to a much higher standard, rising rapidly through the guest experience rankings to the top 5 in the country. Over the years I have lead teams of maintenance techs and trades on various projects including building sites and a large holiday park.  

I am a fully qualified electrician, fiber optics operative and telecoms engineer.
