Connor Darbyshire

Self-driven and motivated with extensive knowledge surrounding human physiology, exercise prescription, and applying theories of psychology and nutrition. I am a strong collaborator and easily adaptable, tailoring my approach to meet the needs of clients and coworkers. 

My experience pertaining to clinical exercise includes a 7-month placement period in which I worked as a sports assistant at the university sports centre. I also spent the summer of 2025 working as a lifeguard at a sleepaway camp in New Hampshire, USA, becoming fully certified via the American Red Cross. 

Other than experience in exercise, I have worked in the retail industry for 4+ years, including a 6-month voluntary period during my time at college, with my role gradually expanding from cashier to general floor worker to processor. and now to a member of the team who is trusted to supervise and teach new employees, as well as provide feedback directly to management.

My ambition is to work in healthcare, specifically through the application of clinical exercise. As a result, I have completed an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology with Distinction. Prior to this, I completed a BSc with Honours in Biomedical Science, achieving a First Class degree before taking a year-long break to focus on earning money.
