Connor Dennison

I am a 22 year old who holds a passion for supporting, assisting and advocating for young people. I have worked as a schools outreach lead youth worker going into schools to talk to students as well as being an approachable youth worker in a youth club. I have also gained experience in education working as a personal achievement tutor in a sixth form where I would be delevering mandatory PSHE session around topics and situations the young people mat encounter in life as well as best preparing them for a life of independence and work after education. I was also one of the Designated Safeguard Officers ensuring the safety of all young people. I am also proud to say that aside from this, I have helped young people with university applications, CV writing and have acted as a reference. I am also proud to say that I have also used my friendly approach to mentor by listening, talking and advising young people through situations they have struggled with. I hold my work ethic towards young people and children to the highest standards by self evaluating myself about what more i could or can do in every situation. 

I 4 years of experience working with young people in both a youth setting and in education. I have experience in networking, referrals, mentoring, advocating, safeguarding, and delivery of PSHE topics around sensitive issues including mandatory RSHE topics outlined in the government documents of statutory topics to be addressed in schools. 

i hold a level 2 qualification in public services and a level 3 qualification in business studies as well as my gcse maths, english and sciences at grade C or above.
