Domestic Electrical Course (L2 Diploma)

I am currently on a course that gives me the foundations necessary to start carrying out minor works and supervised domestic electrical work. The course I am on provides the necessary skills and knowledge required to understand and install circuits commonly found within domestic dwellings. It includes the following:

  • Use of Basic hand tools
  • Installing and terminating twin and earth cable
  • Understanding and installing standard circuits for Lighting, Power & Cookers 
  • Connecting of bonding to gas and water services
  • How consumer units work and connection to them
  • Correct Selection of equipment and Special locations
  •  Basic SI Units, Ohms Law and Power Calculations
  • Calculating maximum demand and applying diversity for a domestic installation

Job Title: Inside Sales Executive

Job Description: As part of the Subscription Platform Executive team, my responsibilities included selling BSI Standards products and services to new and existing customers across a defined BSI Standard subscription suite. I am responsible for identifying and managing sales opportunities, building an understanding of client business needs and drivers, to position how BSI Standards products and services can enable organisations to improve and manage the sales process to a successful conclusion. Job Title: Coordinator

Job Description: I was responsible for the efficient scheduling of several Out & About dedicated bus timetables and entering trip appointments for existing and new Out & About clients using our booking system. l handled amendments to book trips, the rescheduling of cancelled trips as well as organize risk assessments at requested locations. Working as part of a small team and closely with other teams in the business, I built very strong working relationships across the business, and liaised with and coordinate the conductors on a day to day basis ensuring that they have their weekly timetable schedules. There was also day-to-day contact with clients. My role included administrative responsibilities in the form of data entry to help with clear system reporting and to assist with the production of quarterly client impact reports. The role intercepts with teams across the organisation in different ways, therefore relationships and communication were key and being a team player was essential.

Job Title: Permit Officer

Job Description: Working for the parking permit team are aim was to provide high quality support to our residents, visitors and businesses. One of the main duties of being a Parking Permit Officer is to process parking permit applications in accordance with the council’s eligibility criteria. We also advise customers on parking places, restrictions and what permits their eligible for.

Within the role I needed good knowledge of the borough, experience of administrative work and working in a team. Along with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, I needed to be highly motivated, conscientious and reliable, with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines and used my own initiative.

Job Title: Broadcast Support Administrator

Job Description: I helped provide first line support across the entire broadcast platform using leading edge technology as part of a team. I was responsible for monitoring and supporting the Digital Broadcast, Interactive and Satellite Uplink systems to ensure minimum disruption to Sky's services.

Responsibilities included:
Communication with both company and 3rd party stakeholders.

Storage of historic schedule within Service Integration's SharePoint.
 Liaising closely with neighbouring departments including; MCR, OTT, Service Integration, and Platform Control.

Accurate input of schedule data to companies’ in-house tool (iFix).
Receipt of schedule from 3rd party channel schedulers via email.
 Escalation of issues to support teams.
Input into scheduling development with project teams.
 Using various tools to identify VoD asset publishing issues.
 Daily system health checks.
