Member of restraint reduction network. 

6 months - Mental health secure transport

I currently work on Mental health secure transport - High dependency - I am  level 3 PMVA trained, mechanical and soft restraint trained also FREC 3 Qualification obtained. I am also a member of the restraint reduction network - A area i pride myself in.previously i worked for Mersey Care, Specialist Learning Disability Division, I have worked on a Mental Health and Learning disability Autism Care Pathway ward for around two and a half years, since 2017, i now work within a IPC setting, Learning Disability and Autism/ challenging behaviour care pathway. In May 2021, i changed job roles to the PIPS team ( Positive intervention Programme) which is a specialist team from Ashworth High Secure Hospital supporting Long Term segregation and Seclusion and MVA, high risk patients, ensuring least restrictive practice, working closely with the Clinical team and MDT, looking at the PBS plan, contributing to any changes that is needed. Engaging in and supporting risk assessed activities for the service user within the human rights based approach. Working within the HOPES model - still with MerseyCare NHS .Therefore I have great experience and knowledge of working with individuals with challenging and risk taking behaviours, such as physical/verbal aggression, substance misuse, forensic/offending behaviours, learning disabilities and mental health complications. I have worked all tiers of levels of secure hospitals, high, medium, and low, obtaining all levels of skills which i have thoroughly enjoyed.

I believe I am a hard-working individual with an assertive, friendly and caring personality. Through many positions I have worked in I think I work well under pressure and work at best when challenged. I am a dedicated and passionate member of the team. I understand the importance of multi disciplinary teamwork, although I do also work well off my own initiative. Once I have something to focus on I like to put in a 100% effort and thrive off learning new skills/ways of working. I like to maintain a professional working attitude although I am personable and approachable at all times
