About Daniel Tate:
I have been involved in my local grassroots football club for many, many years. I played for my local club from
childhood, and now head up the coaching for our U7 team following a successful season coaching our U6
team earlier this year. I'm also a active committee member for the club. I pride myself on my extensive
knowledge and sound understanding of both Welsh and English footballing pyramid systems.
My passion for football stems from my childhood, playing for my local club from a young age and watching as
much football as I could, whether that was local, club level or international, I would always seize the
opportunity to spend my time watching the sport I had grown to love.
It was during my teenage years that I found a real energy for analysis that was more than just offering my
personal views on footballing matters. I found myself truly engaged in critiquing performances, on both a
player and team level, and this is something I have continued to develop over the years. I'm often enthused
and energised by young talent I can see coming through the pipeline, having an ability to identify players with
the potential to 'make it', understanding them even deeper than what exists on the surface, exploring a deep
insight into their physiological, biological and sociological profiles and how these elements can influence the
player they are or strive to be.
These skills and aptitudes led me into coaching as I wanted to nurture my talent and see players improve,
grow and achieve their best through the analytical feedback I am able to provide to them, alongside support
and encouragement to be the best players they can be, always encouraging positive sportsmanship.
The skills I have gained from my current day job I feel are transferable to any scouting role, as my experience
in this role has equipped me with an enhanced level of communication skill both verbally and spoken, a strong
sense of self-motivation to lead a team each day and deliver timely results, an eye for detail that ensures
customers are always satisfied with the service provided, and observational skills that allow me to scan the
horizon and raise any threats or opportunities that I foresee that may impact on my ability to deliver.
Experience
I've been involved with my local grassroots football club for many years but as a newly qualified Talent ID scout I'm on the search for a professional club to allow me to show my skills and demonstrate best practice
