Danny Macey

An energetic, friendly and communicative individual with work and volunteering
experience requiring strong communication skills, discipline, and teamwork. Eager to
gain greater experience and keen to take up a job where a friendly, approachable
personality can be utilised within a team. Strong aptitude for engaging in
conversation with people from all walks of life, partially due to dual native and
Eastern European heritage. Due to having little trouble building up a rapport with
clients and colleagues, I am well-versed in being inclusive and supportive meanwhile
ensuring all parties are satisfied.

Previous employment experiences have been centred around hospitality with a busy stint at the Pig on the Beach, Dorset. Lived and worked on the South Coast gaining valuable experience in a customer orientated role Frequently handling large numbers of covers, including a record breaking bank holiday weekend, over peak season.

further work experience as a trainee accountant for a month gave me the awareness to adapt in different forms of work environment, meanwhile severe discipline and the importance of representing an organisation perfectly was instilled into me during my time volunteering at Aston Villa.

Although not professional experience I have volunteered throughout my time at Scouts at a younger age and now continue to contribute to the organisation which helped me, as an adult leader.

I am currently Studying History at the University of Sheffield on course for a 2.1. My degree has tested and strengthened my ability to analyse a huge variety of sources and ascertain which information from each question and source alike is vital to my goals. 

My ability to put forward and evidence my own ideas from such analysis has also been furthered as I confidently gauge existing debates and factors affecting my work and shape my responses around them.

Constant group projects throughout my time at University have made me accustomed to group work and all of its dynamics. Carefully and receptively working through compromises and debates to eventually perfect the final product, is a process now familiar to me.
