With over a decade of international teaching experience and expertise in cutting-edge technologies such as VR, AR, AI, and game design, I am passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators through interactive, inclusive, and future-focused education.

Currently pursuing an EdD, my research examines the systemic exclusion of underrepresented groups in STEM fields. This work drives my commitment to fostering diverse and equitable learning environments where students from all backgrounds can thrive in gaming, computer science, and technology. My ultimate aspiration is to lecture on and lead a BSc or BTech program in Computer Science, Interactive Technology, and Gaming—creating pathways for students to enter with clear aspirations and graduate equipped to achieve their dreams.

In my professional career, I have developed expertise in:

  • Game Development: Game programming and scripting (Godot, C#, Python), technical art, and VR/AR applications.
  • Software Development: HTML5, web development, and AI-powered tools for creating dynamic interactive projects.
  • STEM Integration: Hands-on learning experiences using robotics and IoT technologies.
  • CDIO Framework: Experienced in integrating the CDIO (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate) educational framework to enhance project-based and experiential learning approaches.

I also bring extensive experience teaching internationally recognized curricula, including:

  • Cambridge International Curriculum for Computer Science: Delivering IGCSE and A-Level content with a focus on academic rigor and practical applications.

Experience

I am an experienced educator and researcher with over 10 years of expertise in STEM and computer education. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the International College of Technology Kanazawa and teaches part-time at the International STEM Academy. His professional roles have included positions as a Computing Lecturer, Cambridge A-Level Computing Teacher, STEM teacher, and Curriculum Developer/Trainer across various international institutions.

David has a strong background in curriculum development, EdTech integration, and advanced computing topics, having incorporated augmented reality (AR) into his teaching and conducted research in the field. He also holds entrepreneurial experience as the founder of an EdTech company. His work demonstrates a commitment to innovative education, combining research, technology, and pedagogy to enhance STEM learning globally.

I am a EdD/PhD researcher, furthering his expertise in STEM education and EdTech. My academic background is grounded in computer science and education, with a focus on integrating innovative technologies like augmented reality (AR) into teaching. His research explores themes like participatory creative research and success strategies for Black students in STEM education, showcasing his dedication to advancing inclusive and effective learning practices.
