With extensive experience in clinical documentation improvements, clinical/medical coding, and data management, I had provided accurate and reportable data that supports QPS (Quality Patient Safety) teams, insurance and various internal department. I had been a medical coder for many years covering various specialities, I covered World Health Organization coding and the Australian coding systems. I worked as the Team Lead Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist in Qatar. I have provided extensive training to all staff (nationals and overseas staff), educated Physicians on how to correctly document for insurance purposes, clinical research, and for patient safety – I have highlighted the importance of accurate and timely documentation. I have also trained nurses and allied health professionals on how and where to document and educated them on navigating Cerner.
