About Denis Chinhema:
am a person who has a passion for working with people. My working experience is evidence of my inclination towards working with people and ensuring that they achieve the best outcomes in life. This is where l derive my satisfaction from. l am a person who believes in people's individualism, and this is at the centre of ensuring people's care planning and support is effective because there is no 'one size fit all' approach.
l am a culturally competent individual and thus have the ability to support people from various persuasions and do so without being judgemental and prejudicial. I embrace diversity and wants to ensure there is equality and inclusion in the work that l do.
Again, l am a versatile and dynamic person who has the ability to work across many areas on a set-up. l do not limit myself to a certain space if there is an opportunity to learn and be useful in another area. l aspire to learn and be able to contribute immensely in the discourse of support work.
My experience is with both children and adults and it makes me the right candidate for this job. I work with various professionals already including Mental Health Nurses, Psychiatrists, Social workers. As such l have an experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
l believe l have a good rapport building skill and also maintaining workable and working relationships. This rapport is best built and maintained where there is teamwork of which l am an excellent team player. I value provision of quality service to everyone who is under our care.
I am a firm believer of a bottom up or an inclusive service provision. All my previous work is people centred. It means all the work done includes the people affected so that people have a sense of ownership and it becomes sustainable. For instance, as a Support worker, care plans are supposed to involve the service user so that they have a sense of ownership. This makes adherence to the plan easy and sustainable.
l am self-motivated and push myself to achieve or surpass set goals.
