Dominique Harkin

My name is Dominique Harkin and I was born in Dublin, Ireland. For the past ten years, I have been living and working in London. I am an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate fully qualified (with QTS) Primary School Teacher and Middle Leader with over eight years’ experience working in education. I have been working and leading in my current school for four years which is an outstanding school. In our most recent inspection, February 2023, Ofsted inspectors described the school as 'exceptional' and 'distinctive' in its approach to all aspects of teaching and learning and personal development. I have a deep understanding of to embed outstanding teaching and learning in every classroom.

As EEDI (Equality, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Lead, I am extremely personable and committed to creating a sense of belonging where everyone is valued and respected for their own unique identities. I am particularly interested in children's wellbeing and developing emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health, so they can become confident, healthy and responsible global citizens. I am currently leading personal development and SMSC education at my school. I am also leading in PSHE and RWV (Religion and Worldviews). 

My passion, positive nature and interpersonal skills allow me to lead with integrity and to support, motivate and guide pupils and staff to achieving their maximum potential.
