I am a health care/support worker and have worked in care for over 6 years, in hospital and in the community. I am highly focused and hard-working; I have always enjoyed working in health care setting as I get satisfaction in helping and supporting patient in time of needs. I am known to patients and colleagues for being reliable. I abide by the 6C’s when looking after patient; I care for them as a whole by providing individualised patient care; I show compassion care by empathising with individuals, respecting them, and treating them with dignity; I always make sure my competence are updated as I continue to keep up to date with the latest training such as manual handling, basic life support, MAPA/safety intervention; I have good communication/documentation skills which is vital for working well together, as a team to providing the best care possible; I have courage as I will speak up for my patient, I am comfortable and confident in speaking up if I am unsure of something, and in asking for help when I need it; I am committed in providing patient and families with the best care. I will always make time to sit and speak with my patients to ensure that they feel welcome, happy and comfortable in their surroundings. Assisting with activity of daily living, e.g., washing, dressing, and eating. I feel confident in my roles, a good communicator and can take on multiple tasks with ease.
