Elissia Barker-Simpson

I'm caring, polite, patient, and love looking after children. I am also fluent in British Sign Language. I have a full driving license, my own car and I have just bought my first home. 

I live in WF16 but I am happy to commute. I am flexible and I am available most weekends and evenings.

I love being creative and thinking of fun, engaging activities that covers all areas of development. I also really enjoy organising play dates and planning day trips

I have worked in two Private Day Nurseries in the last 4 and a half years. I have a copy of my DBS check and I am fully first aid trained. I also have other qualifications like safeguarding, food and hygiene, etc. 
I have experience with ages from birth to 5 years and I have been room leader in the 0-1 year old room and 2-3 year old room.

I have been a nanny for nearly a year now and my responsibilities are:
-Plan meals, prepare food and food shopping
-Change nappies (now potty training) 
-Laundry, bathtime, bedtime 
-Arranging play dates and outings
-Fun indoor and outdoor activities 
-Educational activities and crafts
-Reading, home work (not yet)
-Administering medicine with consent, if necessary
-Light housekeeping 
-Doctors/dentist/hairdressers appointments
-and more!

While working in these nurseries and being a nanny, I have really enjoyed looking after children, helping with their development, thinking of fun and exciting activities, as well as having a close bond with the children and their families.
