Ellie Fennell

From my previous work experiences, I have been taught several valuable and transferable skills. These skills have significantly improved my customer service skills when dealing with any queries or complaints. While working in retail, I have learned how to manage serving customers at the same time as another activity such as putting out stock, which would both need to be done in a reasonable time. Thus, my time management has improved, and I have adapted to working well under pressure. I believe these skills can be applied to other areas of work such as bar work, and hospitality. 

I am looking for a chance to learn new skills and work in a different environment because I would like to challenge myself and try something new. I can adapt to situations very quickly, and I enjoy learning new skills and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. 

I am a student who has a social life and likes to keep busy. I enjoy making money and working because of the people you meet, your conversations with customers, and the skills you learn along the way. I typically spend my time studying, seeing my friends, or at the gym with my boyfriend. 

I have worked Saturday jobs prior to the age of sixteen. This involved volunteering at a dance school to help teach children, sort out dance supplies and speaking to parents about any issues or questions they may have. Working at a rugby club involved completing tasks such as cleaning changing rooms and setting up the pitch ensuring that all safety regulations are adhered to. At the age of sixteen I got a job working in a retail food store which helped me develop many personal skills such as confidence, customer engagement and time management. These skills have helped me to provide better customer service, a quick and high quality service and pay attention to detail while working.

I have three high graded A-levels in Law, Criminology and Psychology. I am currently studying a undergraduate degree in Professional Policing and I am in my second year of my studies.
